The Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Public Policy (MPP)  programs at McGeorge School of Law are among the first of their kind to be offered by a law school, providing students with a unique blend of policy, law, and leadership education. These programs equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in government, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and the private sector.

  • A strong foundation in law, policy, management, and leadership. which ensures students gain competencies in statutory interpretation, regulatory processes, policy development, and public management–all critical to modern governance.

  • A flexible hybrid format that combines online and in-person instruction. Students attend six to eight in-person Saturday sessions per semester, with the remainder of coursework conducted online in a synchronous format, allowing real-time interaction with professors and classmates. 

  • Specialized concentrations available for a tailored degree: 
    • Environmental & Water Policy
    • Public Policy Advocacy
    • Non-Profit and Social Capacity Management
    • Policy Analysis (MPA only)

  • Prime location in California’s Capital—Sacramento—where students can observe and engage with public institutions, legislative bodies, and advocacy organizations shaping state and national policies.
